Friday, December 31, 2010 - On opening this was very closed and acidic, looked thin and pale and lacked much in the way of nose. I decanted back to the bottle and then let it stand for a good 2 hours. This made the world of difference and the wine really opened up, gained a little body and a deeper colour plus some nice aromas of rasberry, cherry and a hint of violet. As the evening wore on it did not improve much, fairly mediocre. Should probrably be left a good few year yet to develop, but maybe not worth the effort. Drink with light white meat or summer salads.
