Friday, September 19, 2014 - Chicago: wine, food, friends...cigars!; 9/17/2014-9/20/2014 (Blackbird, Les Nomades, Naha, with lunch at Shaw's Crab House): 7-8 years too soon. Light-medium bodied, medium straw color. Equal parts saline, chalk and minerals on a canvas of delicate orchard fruits. Very delicate, and charming at times, but way too soon. A textbook definition of structure and purity. Lovely. 12,5% abv, recommended
Slow-O 5 hours, served non-blind.
