Saturday, June 23, 2018 - Double blind tasting. Brief note. Pnp. Pours a medium straw yellow in the glass. This shows its age with an appropriate level of oxidation. Upfront hazelnuts on the nose and palate come in to focus with crisp and sweet citrus and orchard fruits. Sea spray and chalk come through with some time too. Coming back to this later in the evening the palate becomes much fresher than the nose belies. Finishes long with breadth and depth befitting of a grand cru. Lovely and well aged example.
