Saturday, September 12, 2015 - First impression on the nose was graphite and leather, taking my mind briefly to Bordeaux, but then vanilla and dill put this squarely in California. Rich, big, not shy, and perhaps slightly over-oaked (or under-fruited, as the fruit begins to fade), with some tertiary leather. Dusty tannin, sour cherry, nice acid. Good.
