Thursday, June 2, 2011 - Blind tasted, no carafe. Dark heart and showing its age with browning on outside. Sweet oak, dark cherries, leather, maderized nose. More mineral in the mouth but with concentrated raspberry and cherry zing, fresh and easy to drink. They managed to make it fresh despite the hot vintage; nice surprise. My only criticism is that it was a bit short and one-dimensional but this did not detract from its enjoyability. Drink up now before it dies...
