Tuesday, August 4, 2020 - What a surprise. Maybe it was perfect bottle? It might be over the hill and slightly fading, but have us immense pleasure as really tasty wine. Ripe cherry, chocolate, leather and silky tannins with sweetish finish still delivering some salty garrigue. Wine of the vintage so far. I have always backed cooler years for chateauneuf wines. They offer more Burgundian finesse and less ripe body.
