Saturday, January 1, 2022 - Opened more than 3 hours and decanted to remove some fine sediment later. Inky core with garnet rim turning clear at the fringes. The nose develops in the glass with heady aromas of mushroom, multicolored peppercorns, raspberry and blackberry, brambly and seedy berry bushes, and cedar. Mature structure with low acid and a short burst of grippy tannins which fade nicely into the med length finish. Harmonious and representing both primary and tertiary characteristics. Drink now. Excellent 91.
