Wednesday, December 24, 2014 - PNP. Cork perfect. Color bricking. Nose w chocolate and cherries and some sous bois. Swishing showed this was very dense and oaky to start. Lots of tannin and acid leading to tart finish. When sipped this is richer and smooth but does get a little stemmy on the medium length finish. Even with more time in the glass this did not budge much except to take on a stewed vegetal aroma. have to wonder if it got heat damaged somewhere along the line, because I have had this before and it was delightful.
