Friday, April 11, 2014 - N: Cherries on top with herbal undertones; Some spice? Either closed or weakening? Perhaps needs some air?

P: ASTOUNDINGLY flavorful entry with almost sweetish fruit; V-E-R-Y well balanced with good acidity & a long [albeit somewhat faint] finish. LM, poss M body.

A wine of **distinct** class/breeding, though I'd suspect on the decline given the lack of nose & browning along the rim.

Per the label, 14.1% alch; 35% Sangiovese, 25% C.S., 25% Merlot, 10% Freisa, 5% Cab Franc.

P.S. Lucas & Lewellen apparently have changed the NAME of this label from Mandolina to Toccata.
