Friday, February 26, 2010 - Inky dark ruby full bodied merlot with a fragrant blackberry jam nose, graphite, loam. The taste sweet fruit, very tangy acidic middle with tannic finish, oaky. The Shafer Merlots are one of my favorite each year and the 2007 is of the same quality, will be even better next year. 93, Shafer Rocks
