Tuesday, September 14, 2010 - COLOR: Deep ruby w/ruby miniscus
NOTE: Nice spicy plum cake nose w/cherry tobacco, a little meat juice. Mouth has nice glycerin, is quite tannic and a bit hotter than prior vintages. Finish is a nicely bitter 65% cocoa powder mixed with blackberry jam. 14 months in barrel, mostly new oak.

DECANT: 1 hour
GLASS USED: Bordeaux
TASTE: 9.0

VALUE: 5.0
TRY AGAIN: 2012
PAIRING: Winery says to put it with grilled salmon?
