Saturday, October 8, 2011 - Racy & hot, I was surprised how powerful this was for a merlot. Big fan of Shafer, but didn't love this one - agree with others it's a fruit bomb, almost trying to be a Cabernet rather than relaxing into its own as a supple Merlot.
