Monday, October 11, 2010 - Landed in Mumbai, opened the suitcase, ordered a balanced Indian meal. Murg, Raita, Naan, Black dal, Indian green Chiles . . . popped & poured. Not too dark ruby. Earthy, Grenache & PS dominate. Love the PS. Earthy, woody in a good way, dried fruit, a bit of CDP going on in a Draper way. Nice light feel in the mouth, a little drying, but with substantial dried cherry fruit, charred oak, dried sprigs of lavender. Just a bit too much PS in this, the tannins are still a bit unripe, the fruit may not last. Great with the heavy cream of the raita and ghee in the dahl, but on it's own it needs time. Maybe overnite this puppy will open up. Still way young, and hope eternal the fruit hangs on. This either goes to 92 in a 5 years or falls into an acid alcoholic oak y drying mess.
