Monday, March 3, 2014 - Pale ruby color - one of the lightest colored Pinots I've seen (other than much older Burgs). Not sure if that's the age or normal for Eric Ross? Nice nose of cherry, cinnamon, cloves, violets. On the palate, cherry, smoke, oak. Medium+ body, acidity, alcohol (14.4%). Medium- tannin and finish. To me, it's very oaky and hot, but that may just be my taste buds - this is a recurring theme for me recently with some Pinots. I won't rate it given the age and my taste buds - but if I did it would be 85-ish.
