Thursday, February 15, 2018 - Tired and flat to start. It's amazing what time does to these wines. We ordered a 96 Rougeots while waiting for this to open and open it did. Surprisingly elegant and subtle. Some oxidative notes but also some fine acid that comes forth and a certain restraint. By hour 2 it is absolutely elegant with a seriously long finish. Pairs amazingly well with 36 month Comte.
