Absurdly enough I actually preferred the glass I had when decanting, with its extremely fine-grained sediment that gave it a sort of texture supplementing the smoothness of the aged wine. Still I love this kind of human scale nebbiolo. It is, however, too tannic to really compare with pinot noir. I think I would try without decanting for my last bottle.
