92 Points

Saturday, April 16, 2011 - Slightly opaque (unfiltered...no surprise here) with a garnet core, light tawny rim and clear legs.
Clean, medium plus intensity developed aromas of mushrooms, forest floor, strawberries, red cherries and cola.
Dry, medium acid, medium minus tannin, medium alcohol, medium body, medium plus intensity flavors that reflect the aromas.
Long, complex finish that evolves on the palate.
The wine is of outstanding quality, well balanced with surprising concentration of flavor and long finish considering its age. Probably just over the hill. Glad it's my last bottle.
