Friday, April 1, 2011 - Light gold in the glass. Nose is relatively muted (maybe too cold?) and all sticky pineapple and tropical fruit. A good hit of tart acidity hits you in the mouth preceding flavours of ripe golden apple, lemon and pineapple. Some yeast, butter and other oaky notes round out the finish, but the oak is relatively well integrated with only a touch of bitter green aftertaste. Overall I found this lacking some oomph and intensity of flavour. Somewhat disappointing.
