Tuesday, July 19, 2022 - A technically excellent and robust example, but not quite the showy, leap from the glass, hit you over the head aromatically playful experience that this wine is capable of. This afternoon this was deeply endowed and intense. Just beginning to show the florals and perfume. Pronounced tomato leaf at first in more of a Rouget style. Massive palate right now. Wait. Dense, structured. Not showing everything right now. Powerful but has real purity. Palate show a bit of textural silkiness / velvet coat at the edges but requires attention. Getting a little more rosy towards the end with some black tea spice. I'd wait several years before opening that again.
