Tuesday, December 18, 2018 - Still in a prime drinking window. Deep garnet with no bricking at the edges. Nose of boysenberry and blackberry with hint of spice. Medium concentration with a pleasing silky texture. Flavors of blackberry, mocha, spice and a hint of anise. Evolved and well contoured tannins. Medium to long finish.
Frankly surprised at how youthful this wine is given its age. May not get better with more age but has many years in its prime drinking window.
