Tuesday, May 3, 2011 - Darker ruby. Heady nose of cinnamon, black cherry, spring bouquet, sea air. Full, ripe, but measured on the palate with layers of mulberry, bing cherry, thyme, and iodine. Moderate acidity and filed off tannins, plus a long finish marked by waves of red fruit and grip. Terrific with a grilled filet of the first fresh wild king of the season. From a 375.
