Tuesday, September 15, 2020 - Last bottle. Well stored, in my cellar from about 07. Looking for something to pair with some casual dinner with Val and Charlotte.

Saturated ruby color, faint separation. Black cherry, plum on the nose in the beginning. After an hour started to show some maple and brown sugar, baking spice. Palate of tart red fruits, cranberry, savory spices, leather and cola. Lingers through the mid palate. Medium body, medium/long finish.

Glad a I saved this bottle, drank other some time ago...last sips were the best. Really nice on this evening, classic rioja with an expressive bent to it. The wine has improved with age. Great stuff - I think I paid ~$25 at the time I bought it.
