Saturday, April 30, 2011 - The nose is dark and spicy, showing cigar tobacco with dark cherries and pie crust that is a little burnt around the edges. The cherry scents are beautiful and pure. Full cherries show on the palate, along with the dark tobacco suggested on the nose. The fruit is pure and precise, and the tannins are full but stay shy of being too big. The acidity is enjoyable, and it brings a sensation of stony earth that goes well with the cherries.
