Singing the right notes now as this lighter bodied Version of the 1990 unfolds a more sophisticated mouth feel and integration of flavors than the wonderful 1989. But it also lacks the greater complexity and richness of the 1989. Darker garnet with an unfolding franc nose, it requires no decant but can use slo ox for an hour to let free the bretty aromas. Held its own well, with some typical barnyard, but juicy soft acids holding dark and tart cherry, lots offP moist soil, woody oak scents and a hint of smoke. Drink now as the fruit will subside soon.
