A pale gold color. The nose is fully mature with a definite oxidation note. On the palate, it doesn't seem to have the frame to supports its age. Hardly any fruit, significant oxidation, lean, almost medicinal. Nonetheless, I like old whites/burgs/champagne and oxidation. I didn't mind this bottle, but frankly it reminded me more of grabbing something way too old from the bargain bin at a wine shop. for $5. It's probably too old, but nice to enjoy the nuance of old age, even if it isn't very satisfying. Unfortunately, in this case, I paid $30 which seems to be less than the average around here. This doesn't drink like a $30 anything.
