Has that tarry, ripe, dense saucy fat fruit like you expect from many wines of the region. Lots of grip still. But not interesting at all. It's funny how these wines just sort of hold still in expression over time. At least when they are young the fresh fruit is yummy. Once that fades you are left with a wine you hope will mature but likely never will.
