An incredible wine that pushes the limits to what a Syrah can offer in terms of transparency, purity of fruit, structure (think all things Pinot like). This may be atypical for the variety in most regions. I wish there were more places to find this type of rendering of the grape. I've seen it most recently similarly expressed at Renaissance in their 2002 Serra Nevada Syrah, but it didn't reach the heights that this wine obtained.
