Tuesday, March 2, 2010 - Light ruby color with transparent rim. Beautiful and complex nose: dried cranberry/cherry, damp forest floor, juniper/eucalyptus, and a little white chocolate. Palate: spry raspberry and dried cranberry fruit with more juniper, some mushroom, and again a tiny brush of white chocolate. Gorgeous, juicy acidity. Moderate/lighter tannins. Moderate/long finish. Green stick and a hint of peppercorn lingering. Impressive intensity and structural balance without excess weight. Always an excellent cool climate PN and a nice buy.
