90 Points

Sunday, June 11, 2017 - The wine was dark salmon in colour, with medium-intense, medium-fine perlage. It offered good, full red fruit, strawberry, ripe apple, toast, brioche, chalk and some smoke on the nose and palate, with creamy mousse, medium to medium-plus acidity and very good length. A good champagne in its own way, rather plump, more like a ripe Pinot Noir rosé saignée. It hence left me longing for a little more freshness. Not my preferred style.
