Friday, November 11, 2011 - Rhone Dinner (Sun Wah Chinese BBQ): Johnny brought this to Sun Wah for our Rhone dinner with Jill and Greg too.
Somewhat limited tasting notes. Lovely aromatics. Tropical fruit and just clean fresh air on an island. Stoney wet brioche laced with some butter and fresh lime zest.
The palate is well endowed and really uniquely Old World in some bizarre ways. The wine was all about balance.
There was not too much of any particular aspect - fruit, earth, rock, alcohol, acidity. Everything just...worked.
I absolutely loved this wine and I almost agree with Parker who placed this at 97 pts.
