Wednesday, February 29, 2012 - Found this little gem at Grocery Outlet for $4.99, vs the normal $20 retail. Blend of 44% merlot, 17.5% syrah,17.5% cab sav, 9% cab franc, 6% sangiovese, 4% grenache and 2% pinot noir. I believe A to Z is the largest volume producer in the great state of Oregon, mostly known for their pinot noir. This is a full bodied treat,
aromas of dark fruits, w/flavors of blackberries, raspberries, boysenberries along w/some chocolate. Merlot is running the show, with the syrah/blackberry in the mix too. 18 months in oak plus another 15 months in the bottle prior to release, this is a serious effort. This is a nice wine, and killer QPR at GO.
