Saturday, August 17, 2019 - Brickhouse Study (chicago, IL): Nose: The nose is heady, perfumed, and layered with red cherries, strawberries, red berries, pomegranate, morning dew, violets, rose petals, wild flowers, spice tones, and a touch of herbs. This is a nose that is easy to get lost in with loads of depth.
Taste: The feel is Medium bodied with tart, medium+ acidity and silky, medium+ tannins. The structure still shows some youth but underneath lies a regal and refined feel with red cherries, strawberries, pomegranate, rose petals, wild flowers, and spice notes.
Overall: This is tremendous. There is still a primary quality to the fruit but it has gone to another level with great depth and perfume. The structure still shows off youth for more aging though this is a stunner right now.
