Saturday, December 12, 2009 - A really nice wine. Opens up with a distinct minerality; chalk/clay combined with dried red fruit and dusty tannins. 12.5% alcohol. Refined and elegant, this reminds me more of a Burgundy than a Bordeaux. This is by by no means a grand vin, but it strikes me as a wine that is honest and tells me where it comes from and hence it is very satisfying. Nice.
