Thursday, December 10, 2009 - Now this is an excellent example of a great Australian shiraz! Inky dark in appearance with a fragrant nose of forest fruits nicely integrated with vanilla spice. The flavors in this full-bodied wine is rich and powerful with generous amounts of blueberries, blackberries, sultanas, and coffee with some hints of eucalyptus framed in a sophisticated use of French oak. Its a big fruit-driven wine but certainly not over done. Definitely drinking great now and should continue to improve.
