I'm sure this isn't the best wine I've ever had, but I think it may be the best I've ever purchased. Incredible color, for starters. The kind of color that lets you know that you're about to drink a serious wine. So much going on on the nose: red fruit (dark cherries leading the way), sugar cane, some hints of coffee (maybe mocha), and and awesome cinnamon kick. On the palate this thing is juicy, but elegant and extremely balanced. The cherries are still there, now joined with some pomegranate (especially on the finish). On the tail end, there's an incredible sense of cinnamon roll - the part in the middle where some of the cinnamon doesn't quite melt. The wine finishes dry, but not abruptly. In fact, the finish lingers on for what seems like forever. Really a great wine and a great way to finish off a murderous two months.

Normally this kind of wine is above our price range, but I would call this a value at around $50.
