Sunday, October 14, 2012 - Only a couple hours in the decanter. Thick deep purple in the glass. Nose of drop dead ripe black berries, wet slate and rock, slight tar, wild flowers, green herbs and meaty spice. Got better with more time. On the palate gobs of juicy fruit, warm aged oak - thick and heady with just enough tannin to make it all sing. Finishes with a hint on licorice. PJG: 91
