Tuesday, January 29, 2019 - Big and full bodied, this 11 yr old RRV Syrah shows off black fruit like black cherry and plum, with burnt embers, and black pepper.
Bold and tannic on the palate, with ripened plum, black cherry, wet leather, smoke, and wet gravel.
The finish is quite long, but comes across a bit manipulated, showing off gritty and chewy tannins, alongside slightly lacking acidity, and some baby fat on the ripe and expansive finish.
Drink now through 2021+. Tasty but too brawny for my liking.
