Friday, January 13, 2023 - Dinner with the W's and B's (Fiorentini in Rutherford, NJ): This wine was not aired out before arriving at the restaurant, so it only saw about 40 minutes of slo-ox before serving. Even with the limited aeration the wine opened up to a bouquet of blue and black fruits, plus some spice and earth. These followed on to the palate, with very nice intensity and expression. The acidity was nicely balanced but there were some tannins. A very nice wine overall. Should last for many more years.
