The palate enjoyed a steady stream of rich, syrupy, opulently textured red fruits. 55 Angelus was a special wine that did not lose fruit in the glass. Hubert says, unlike the 60's, 70's & early 80's, Angelus produced very fine wines in the 50's. In wine is truth, and this bottle showed how great Angelus can age.
