Saturday, November 30, 2013 - The Twelveth Annual Stonefields Dinner (Guelph, ON): This showed well if perhaps a little below expectations. Nose was very dusty, musty, and medicinal on first pour, but evolved with some air to reveal some brown spice, mint, wet decaying leaves, peat, and potpourri. The palate come across as dried prunes and peaty but carried on surprisingly long. While there isn't a lot of pleasure left in this bottle it was a fascinating glimpse into the past of this legendary winery and was still fun to drink.
