Tuesday, May 5, 2020 - Strong volcanic violet/Syrah nose, then dark, meaty, almost brooding deep blackberry fruit with streaks of boysenberry and pomegranate, excellent acidity, and fairly strong, slightly grippy tannins. Just classic Syrah, straddling old and new worlds. Cleaner than most northern Rhône’s, but just as complex and interesting. Gorgeous wine.
