Saturday, June 21, 2008 - Day 1: Popped and poured...dark almost uddy color. There is fruit and body but more than anything there is tannin. Too vague to rate on day one.
Day2: after sitting with the cork barely in ...no change.
Day 3 tasted expecting a sour oxidized wine ready to be tossed, but Ahhh... the tannins have faded and the fruit and St Emilion earthiness moved to the front. It has still inky thick color and has a lingering late chocolate aftertaste. I think with time this will be great and I dont think merely decanting will do this justice. Look again after 2012.
