Wednesday, January 2, 2019 - This is the bee's knees! Last bottle consumed in 2011 was bright and youthful...full of flavor...this bottle 8yrs later still showing wonderful fresh crushed raspberry and black cherry, more tertiary earth and savory than the crunchy snap in its youth. Full stem funk, sandalwood spice, smoked cherry tree twigs...has a wonderful silky smooth palate, structure just hanging on with the slightest dusty powdery tannins...aged leather and smoky forest floor...pretty flowers...soft, slight white pepper spice finish. Probably a little more fun in its youth...but tasty none the less, especially for the address.
