Saturday, May 25, 2013 - decanted 2.5 hours and served with grilled beef tenderloin, sauteed mushrooms, mashed potatoes, and asparagus. Great pairing and great wine. pretty floral nose. Utterly soft and smooth mouthfeel, with the fruit fresh but not dominant and layer after layer of wood & tobacco notes accenting around the edges. Tasted blind, I probably would have guessed Bordeaux. To my palate, this is definitely open for business already even though I think it will go & evolve for years and years. This is right in my wheelhouse.
