Saturday, September 28, 2019 - I give a big name like Tignanello the benefit of the doubt, but our impression in a group of 12 wine lovers was that this bottle was underwhelming. Two-tiered impression of overmature notes in the attack, followed by an opaque wall of dark berries, liquorice, unsorted tannins. To be revisited soon, as I hope that it was a bottle with some defect. Considering that this sort of wine is now selling at prices close to EUR 100 you expect better for sure.
