Wednesday, October 14, 2009 - Drank this after a couple of bottles of the 1996. This one was clearly better and quite young. However it showed well after being quickly decanted and served shortly after the bottle had been opened. Great structure and full body. The bouquet had incense mingling with plums and cocoa scents. Nice acidity and a flavour profile that is reminiscent of ripe and sour plums, blackberries and licorice. Sexy in a hedonistic sort of way.
