Thursday, December 24, 2009 - We drank this beauty on Christmas Eve; a perfect pairing with the Flannery rib cap. A youthful purple color, with a relatively primary -- but impressive -- bouquet of blackberry, cassis, plum and a hint of smoke. Medium to full bodied, with great concentration of flavor( but no heaviness), firm structure, impressive depth and a long and powerful finish. Still has some tannin to shed, and I think this wine should continue to improve over the next five to ten years. Significantly better than a previous bottle drank this summer.
