Sunday, October 10, 2010 - This wine is amazing. Opened and decanted for 4 hours. Tasted on opening and the aromatics and flavors were amazing. I think in the future I will shorten the decant on this wine to 1 hour. The color on this wine is inky garnet, maybe a slight cloudiness. The nose on this wine is immense. The nose is almost succulent with cherry, blueberry, and a potpourri of spice. The aroma alone is addictive and distinguishes this wine, drawing you into the flavors. Intense, rich and flavorful; beautiful balance. Soft and delicate tannin with loads of concentrated dark fruit and spice with a lingering finish. Absolutely delicious. Quilceda Creek continues to amaze me with every bottle I drink. Bravo!!
