Thursday, July 4, 2019 - Opened bottle an hour before, decanted just before pouring. What a glorious wine this is! Deep garnet colour, hardly showing its 18-year age. Beautiful nose - floral notes, blackberries, cassis, a little pepper and spice. And such power and intensity in the mouth, yet smooth and silky on the long, lingering finish. Great stuff - glad I have another 3 bottles.
