Thursday, January 9, 2020 - Still garnet and almost completely opaque. Pronounced aroma, but with my eyes closed I'd think it was a Coke! Exactly the same aroma profile, minus the bubbles! On the palate, medium body, round, soft fruit, but one-dimensional, moderately tannic, also with Coke flavors. Long aftertaste, but hints of Chinese five-spice...strange. I never understood Parker's high ratings of these wines...just haven't felt the magic. Drink up.
